Magnolia Market at the Silos

Magnolia Market has a little something for everyone including shopping, games, the garden, and even a bite to eat. It is owned & popularized by Chip and Joanna Gaines, TV personalities best known for HGTV’s Fixer Upper TV series. The Gaineses transformed what was formerly two 120’ high silos, built in 1950 for what was the Brazos Valley Cotton Oil Company into 12,000 sq ft of attractions.

Texas Sports Hall of Fame

The Texas Sports Hall of Fame recognizes athletes, coaches, and administrators who have made “lasting fame and honor to Texas sports”. It is truly representative of the athletic history in Texas with over 35,000 sq. ft of memorabilia, displays, artifacts, and more!

Waco Mammoth National Monument

A paleontological site and museum in Waco where fossils of 24 Columbian mammoths and other mammals have been uncovered. The site is the largest known concentration of mammoths dying from a (possibly) reoccurring event, which is believed to have been a flash flood. A local partnership developed around the site after the initial bone was discovered. The Waco Mammoth Foundation worked in partnership with the city of Waco and Baylor University to develop the site.

Baylor University

Baylor is a private Baptist research university first chartered in 1845 by the last Congress of the Republic of Texas. It is the oldest continuously operating university in Texas and one of the first educational institutions west of the Mississippi River in the United States. It is home to an array of collegiate sports teams and venues from football at Mclane Stadium (as shown) to basketball hosted at the Ferrell Center.
